New 5.0-star Review: "This pandemic has us watching a lot of Korean dramas at home lately lol. Seeing scenes of them eating Korean fried chicken reminded us of our trip to South Korea and the yummy fried chicken we ate there. So for lunch yesterday the hubby picked up fried chicken at Rice Chicken. They currently have a 12 Leg and thigh Chicken special for $20 on Monday and Tuesday. It was hot, crunchy, delish and satisfied the craving! We ordered it plain Original with the sauce on the side. They have different types of sauces like honey garlic, sweet and spicy and spicy soy sauce. We went with the spicy soy and it was pretty good. The chicken special came with a little container of coke slaw and also radish pickle. Pick up was easy. We called it in and it was ready by the time we got there to pick it up."

BUT ALAS Rice Chicken opened and saved the day!I am a boneless kinda gal Rice Chicken is more like nuggets than strips but it doesn't matter to me. The sauces are great-- the hot one is HOT! Would recommend!"

I thought it looked overpriced for what it was, and it didn't even come with rice!Thankfully first impressions are often misleading, and we ended up loving this place. The price is well warranted for the quality and flavor of the chicken, especially considering other nearby fried chicken joints and their offerings.My husband and I ordered the half & half chicken to share (for takeout) and the chicken was still CRISPY ...AF when we got home! This is seriously the crispiest fried chicken I've ever had, and you can officially label me a fan of the rice flour they use.Our order came with half original chicken, and we chose traditional spicy soy for the other half. The original was spiced well, and while the traditional spicy soy wasn't spicy whatsoever, it still had a lot of flavor. Would definitely enjoy these two again.The meat was juicy, and the pieces were large! The order was just enough to leave us both full and satisfied - no sides of rice actually necessary! The pickled radish was also crunchy and refreshing as a palate cleanser, but the cole slaw unfortunately left much to be desired and we weren't big fans of it.Overall, we prefer Rice Chicken over nearby Furaido where Korean fried chicken is concerned. Close contender with Cross Street! And in any case, the Rice Chicken original actually tastes better than all the other fried chicken chain joints nearby as well." See more

We decided to order from here since we were both craving some korean fried chicken This place is slightly pricier then other places . 12 pieces for $25. We got the honey garlic and spicy soy. Normally when you go they toss the chicken in the sauce is already but because it was to go they give you a little container. It's nice because it keeps the chicken cri...spy Because they use rice flour it changes the consistency or the batter and makes the chicken extra crunchy and more light and airy. The 12 pieces consisted of 4 drumsticks, 4 wings and 4 thighs. I was slightly disappointed that I didn't get any breast meat Everything was delicious and they even give you a little side of coleslaw and pickled radish. The only downfall was that we only received 10 pieces instead of 12 Come back again? For sure" See more

The sauces are separated so you can toss them yourself at home and prevents the chicken from getting soggy, which is great for our journey back down to Hillcrest! Garlic and volcano are our favorite flavors but take caution: that volcano's got a kick that lingers but it's a dream for spicy lovers-just be ready to sweat. It comes with their yummy coleslaw and crunchy daikon radish cubes, perfect to cut through that fried chicken goodness. We love this place so much that we don't mind the drive up north-just wish we had one closer. Regardless, give these guys a try to curb your fried chicken cravings-you're in for a treat."

It's incredible and delicious and you should pick some up for take out or delivery ASAP. My spouse and I are both working from home now and although I love to cook, not for three meals a day! To keep the dishes clean and support small businesses a couple days a week we order in or take a much anticipated car ride (were basically golden retrievers now. "Wanna go ...in the car? Do ya? C'mon let's go for a ride!")This was a fun pick. We had the original fried chicken, the ones tossed in cheese and the garlic boneless fried version as well. We also got fries. Omg - the portions were huge and the fries were notable. Quality chicken - with truly tasty sauces. We loved it all. We could have easily ordered less and had plenty. Good value - support local!" Our friends had suggested this place a while ago.Take out:Grub Hub or Door DashFood:I ordered the half and half. The chicken is good! If you have given up your KFC or Popeyes due to the flour batter, check this spot. Their mild chicken is Spicy! So you've been given a heads up. The food comes with a small side of slaw and daikon radishes. Sauces: we tried the honey garlic and sweet and spicy. Both were good but my favorite is honey garlic.Kids:They do offer a kids option however it is still slightly spicy. Service:When they are open, the service is good, quick.Delivery service was on time and the food was hot when it arrived.No pics because we are it allllllllll!!!"

New 5.0-star Review: "This is our go to spot for fried chicken. It is open for takeout during quarantine. The chicken is so juicy and crispy on the outside. It's much juicier than other fried chicken places because of the rice flour. You can pick from many sauces but the chicken is honestly so good by itself as well. Highly recommend Rice Chicken!"

New 4.0-star Review: "I was craving fried chicken but wanted to support local instead of ordering KFC. Cue Rice chicken and their availability on DoorDash. Everything sounded so good but I ultimately went with the half & half chicken and the spicy chicken sandwich. We got volcano sauce with both items and man they are not messing around! It's so good but so spicy. Even with the commute + some sitting time in our house, the chicken was super crispy and had great flavor. I LOVED my spicy chicken sandwich. It hit the craving head on. The chicken is a little on the pricey end but that won't stop us from re-ordering soon. Hopefully next time I'll be able to snap a picture before eating it all ;)."

I personally think that their soy garlic chicken is the most authentic to Korean chicken. Their chicken tenders taste average, but nothing is too special about them. If you're craving authentic Korean fried chicken, this is the place to go."

New 4.0-star Review: "Breathe in the scent. Nothing like that aroma of fresh fried chicken. Chicken wings glistened in the sun. Batter was crunchy. As crunchy as it gets. Koreans have mastered the art of crunchy batter. Chicken wings were tender and juicy. Loved the flavor which was a bit like Popeyes mild. I could tell they use really high quality oil here as there was no aftertaste. I visited when Rice Chicken first opened and tried the spicy fried chicken wings w...hich were too spicy for me but the mild version is just right.It burns. Dipping the wings in the sweet bbq sauce helps a bit. Drinking lots of water helps a bit. I ordered the 10 piece fried chicken wings. Half the order was drummettes and half the wing part. I was able to eat 6 pieces before the burning in my mouth was too much. There is a warning on the menu the chicken is spicy. It really is. I did like the crunchy batter and the chicken was tender and juicy. Flavor was a little bitter and mostly hidden by the burning.Sweet potato fries were crispy and had a delicious sweet potato flavor. Rice Chicken is not my kind of place but if you like spicy food it may be your kind of spot. Maggie likes spicy food and she enjoyed the wings with bbq sauce and lots of water." See more
