If you work at YCRCD you know how monumentous this is- our relentless project manager Alex Tremblay putting the first plant in the ground for the Yolo Bypass Wildlife Area’s corridor’s project that seeks to create habitat connectivity for wildlife to escape the bypass during flooding. With the amazing help from @landbasedlearning and #davishighschool we planted about 300 plants today. We’ve got plans to plant another 1,700 for this project!

The Yolo County Weed Management Area is holding our first meeting since 2008! In June 2019, the Yolo County RCD received funding from the California Department of Food and Agriculture to revive our WMA. Working with the Yolo County Ag Department, we’ll be targeting some special weeds, and holding a few meetings per year.
