Anastasia Kornilova @yoga_with_anastasia found yoga when she was only 16 years old in her hometown of Kazan, Russia. Like so many kindred spirits, she immediately fell in love with the practice. After only one lesson she felt a happiness that was palpable and has thus sought Yoga all across the globe as she has traveled and lived. In 2017 Anastasia’s travels brought her to Los Angeles to attend the University of Southern California to work on a Master’s Degree. As was her hab...it she sought out the nearest Yoga center and found @yogacircledowntown. Anastasia says: I remember my first class taught by @yogiknekoh; we practiced amazing yoga sequences, and at the end, while we were in savasana, Knekoh, as is her closing habit, ‘played the gongs’ washing us in a bath of sound. I couldn't forget that experience and returned to Yoga Circle regularly. A couple of years later as her studies at USC were wrapping up, Anastasia felt that she was ready to study Yoga in depth and requested to join our Yoga Teacher Training program. Having successfully completed her Yoga studies with us, she is now spreading her knowledge and love of yoga. Anastasia says, Yoga helps me look inwards, listen to myself, connect to myself and be authentic. External world changes every day, but the peace, love, and acceptance is something we always have inside. Yoga helps me remember that and feel happy. Anastasia dream is to ensure everyone has access to this amazing ancient tradition. We concur. A noble pursuit. Monday Motivation! : At 17, Jessica aka @xplosionnslowmo took her first Yoga class at the local #YMCA where she quickly noticed the benefits of yoga were far more than merely physical. Experiencing an instant connection to Yogic philosophy, she continued to study and practice for over a decade. In 2018, Jessica found Yoga Circle in what she describes as ‘divine timing’. : In short order, she became a regular at @jacquisassy ‘s Arm Balance and Inversion Workshops showing up e...ach and every month, eager to learn more and push the limits of what she thought was possible. Later that year, she decided it was time to dive deeper into the history, knowledge and tradition of Yoga with our #YogaTeacherTraining program and we welcomed her with open arms. : Most recently Jessica was sidelined from Hatha Yoga after a series of unrelated minor injuries. Staying true to her practice Jessica utilize the Yogic tools she had available and honored her healing. She has recently eased back into her arm balance and inversion practice, continuing to learn and grow with a beginner’s mind and an open heart.
