Wondering what to bring when swimming during a beautiful sunrise at Palm Desert Aquatic Center? A face mask - you are required to wear it anytime you aren't in the water. Your own equipment and swim cap - please bring everything you need to enjoy your swim as we do not have equipment rentals at this time due to health and safety reasons.... #PDAC #Lapswim #CoachellaValley #Sunrise #MorningSwim #UnitePalmDesert

#Didyouknow - swimming helps you stay flexible? Swimming requires you to reach, stretch, twist, and pull your way through the water. Your ankles become fins and are stretched with each kick as you push off against the liquid pressure. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t still stretch on your own, but repetitive stretching found in your various strokes also helps with flexibility. #Swimming #Flexibility

#FunFactFriday How long can you hold your breath? Go! If you are like most people, you start to feel panicked at about 30 seconds. People in good health and with proper training can hang on for at least 2 minutes. A freediver can hold his/her breath for as long as 10 minutes. The world record for breath-holding is 22 minutes, which is currently held by Stig Severinsen. #PDAC #Swim

As we accommodate all of our committed swimmers with safety and health in mind, and considering limitations imposed by the pandemic, we are limiting swim sessions to one per day, per person -- beginning tomorrow, Dec. 9th. Reservations will still need to be made online and can be done only two days in advance at this time. We are thrilled to have so much excitement to be back in the water, and are taking the necessary precautions to protect you and our staff! Visit pdp...ool.com to reserve your lap lane! #PDAC #LapSwim
