An area of cloudiness and showers is located over the Bay of Campeche and the adjacent land areas on Saturday evening, associated with a trough of low pressure. Slow development is possible during the next several days while this system moves slowly and erratically, and a tropical depression could form in this area by the middle of next week. It has a low (10 percent) chance of formation during the next 48 hours and medium (40 percent) chance during the next five days.

It's great to see progress with rebuilding this school at Vanuatu that Category 5 Tropical Cyclone Harold destroyed last year. We are grateful to the yachting community's support to make getting this project underway possible. Using cyclone-resilient construction techniques, we're working with the Ministry of Education and our local community coalition partners to make the new pre-school more robust and resilient to withstand future cyclone's. The building will also serve as ...a 'safe-house' for local residents to seek shelter during future natural disasters. Vanuatu features beautiful remote islands and culture, frequently visited and enjoyed by cruising yachts. The local people share a part of their land, sea, and spirit in order to create memorable experiences for the visiting yachts' crews and guests. Projects like this are an opportunity for the yachting community to give back to those who need support the most to reach self-sufficiency and sustainability after a natural disaster strikes their community.
