Worlds Yoga Fremont 13.11.2020

A "Shelter-in-Place" directive was issued by local authorities that impacts both Santa Clara County (Milpitas) and Alameda County (Union City and Fremont). This... directive requires closure from 12:01 am, Tuesday, March 17 until April 7 (approximately three weeks), of all businesses deemed non-essential. In order to comply with this directive, we must Union City, Fremont, and Milpitas studios have closed. I am posting this with a deep sense of sadness and disappointment. However, one of my life lessons is that "we have to do what we have to do." But your practice does not have to be put on hold. We are going to start online classes as soon as possible. We plan to publish a schedule, along with instructions on how to access online classes, sometime this week. We encourage you to attend the online classes if you can. After all, time on our mats can provide a welcome release in these unpredictable times. If you are a class pass holder or have purchased a Groupon Voucher, you have two choices: You can extend their expiration dates for the duration of the closure, or you can attend our online classes. You don't have to do anything at this point. If you attend an online class, your class pass or Groupon expiration dates will remain unchanged. If you don't attend any online classes and wait for Worlds Yoga studios to reopen, the expiration date of your class pass or Groupon will be extended by the duration of the closure. If you are a member, we hope you will maintain your membership and attend our online classes until April 7th. Alternatively, you can request your membership be put on hold. As an exception to our regular policy, we will waive the $25 hold fee. We rely on and appreciate your support. We are committed to doing everything we can to make it possible for you to continue your practice safely, especially in times such as these when you need it the most. Regards, - Ketabchi (DRK)

Dear Worlds Yoga Community, Our main objective here at Worlds Yoga is to help you be healthier and live better. Everything else is secondary. Given the current ...threat posed by coronavirus covid-19, we are taking, and asking for your help in implementing, the following measures: Worlds Yoga is doing the following: (1) Our teachers and staff have been asked to stay home if they have cold-like symptoms that have not been evaluated by a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. (2) We are discontinuing mat rentals until further notice. (3) We are discontinuing the use of water fountains. We recommend you bring your own bottle of water. We also provide bottled water at the reduced price of $1 per bottle. (4) We have increased the frequency of floor cleaning and are wiping frequently touched items, such as door knobs, light switches, pens, etc., multiple times a day. (5) To keep you updated with facts from a reliable source, we have compiled an informational document titled "Help Spread Facts NOT Fear", from the Q&A section of the World Health Organization (WHO). And we ask the following of you: (1) Please skip your practice if you have cold-like symptoms that have not been evaluated by a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional. (2) Please carry a handkerchief to cover your nose and mouth if you need to sneeze or cough while in the studio. We have also provided tissue boxes all over the studios for your use. (3) Please wash your hands with soap and water as needed, and definitely after touching studio surfaces and items likely to have been touched by others. (4) If possible, bring your own blocks, blankets, and bolsters, or bring a towel or sheet to cover ours if you use them. We are not able to wash our props after every use. If you do use one of ours, please sign the sheet at the desk for using props. (5) Please observe the posted informational materials and feel free to ask questions and share with DRK, Roya, or Evelyn any concerns or suggestions you may have. We welcome your help in improving our preventative measures. (6) Please look at the document from WHO linked below called "Help Spread Facts NOT Fear" We have always relied on your support and cooperation and you have never disappointed. I am sure your support and cooperation in supporting these important measures will be no different. Working together as a community, we can safely continue to enjoy our time on the mat. Take care of yourself and your family and be well. Regards, DRK
