Hawaii While I first started putting Hawaii based on each Island, I decided that they all have very similar things to offer but each has their own little quirks. Below I have broken down a little more on Kauai, Oahu and Maui but although we did not feature the Island of Hawaii, Lanai or Molokai they all have a lot to offer as well. If you like a more outdoor adventurous trip with lots of quiet downtime, then Kauai might be the best for for you with the only navigable river o...ffered on the islands and some of the most beautiful hiking locations it is an outdoorsmans dream location but keep in mind, they like the small town feel so many shops and places close down early each night. Thanks to warm, shallow and relatively calm waters, there’s no better place to take your first surf lesson than on the beaches of Waikiki on the beautiful Island of Oahu. While on Oahu, visit the Pearl Harbor Historic Sites including the USS Arizona Memorial, Mighty Mo and the Pacific Aviation Museum. While the streets of Waikiki resemble something close to a big city, they do offer lots of shopping and great eateries within walking distance of the many resorts. If you are looking for a little more relaxing vibe then head north to the beautiful Turtle Bay Resort. While north, don't forget to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center and Kualoa Ranch where many famed films have used its valley as a backdrop including Jurassic Park. Maui is not nearly as large as the Island of Hawaii, nor is it as small as Lanai, as bustling as Oahu or as quiet as Kauai. For many Hawaii vacationers, Maui is just right offering a taste of just about everything the Aloha State has to offer, from impressive wildlife to intriguing history and culture. While on a visit here, you can shimmy alongside professional hula dancers, golf along coastal fairways, snorkel alongside five different types of sea turtles or simply lounge along some of Hawaii's most notable beaches. Maui can be found sandwiched between the Island of Hawaii and the much tinier Molokai. While there be sure to signup for a tour so you can explore Haleakala the world's largest dormant volcano in the Upcountry and explore the former tribal battlegrounds of Central Maui's Iao Valley State Park.
