Today was one for the history books! From the information we have gathered today was the first time (that we know of) for an all female Mounted Color Guard team... out of MCLB Barstow. It was also the first official event for both SSgt. Herron and Sgt. Polachek. It was Ford’s first time to carry the Marine Corps flag, and it was Sgt. Hammer’s first time to carry the American flag. The ladies are extremely grateful to have the opportunity to blaze a trail like the many female marines before them. #marinecorps #mcg #mountedcolorguard #femalemarines #america #historyinthemaking #historicalmoment #firstever #horsesofinstagram #palominosofinstagram #mustangs #oorah #semperfidelis #semperfi #team #teamworkmakesthedreamwork @ Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) - Barstow

If you ever need to move, you can certainly count on Marines to help! A huge thank you to Iris Biggers, President of Women Marines Association CA-7 Southern C...alifornia Chapter and all of their members. The Edith Macias Vann Chapter 7 of the WMA made a generous donation to Foundation for Women Warriors and volunteered to help us get settled into our new warehouse. We couldn’t be more grateful for the support.
