Here are a few photos of our gasser frame rails being installed to a '55 Chevy chassis that's just underway....more to follow.

At long last, we are zoomed back in on my son's '56 Chevy 210 post. Here are some progress shots of the rear sheet metal work we have been focused on recently. Modifications shown include hand formed wheel tubs & redone trunk floor to accommodate the raised & relocated 25 gallon stainless gas tank. We will finish up this area with a battery box, storage compartment & bulkhead panel behind the back seat in coming days. Next on the list is to rework the firewall as needed to fit around the nearly completed 409 W engine. The immediate goal is to complete all the metal work so the body can move on to the paint shop. More to follow!

Although '55-'57 Chevrolet passenger cars are our specialty, we're up for a little diversity. Just finished making room for and installing an LS-3 x L 60 combo in this '47 Ford Woody. Enjoyed the challenge of the modifications needed to the "X" frame center section and determine a home for the power brake//pedal assembly. The driver's side motor mount bracket got pretty interesting, finding a pathway for the steering linkage out of the rack & pinion. The pursuit of "clearance" keep many a fabricator awake at night!

Now & then we tackle a custom exhaust system. This one was done to a very clean '57 Chevrolet we had installed several of our chassis components to some time ago. The exhaust is hooked up to a big block with a set of our headers and cut-outs, which proved interesting to integrate. We started at the collectors with 3" tubing into the Magniflow stainless mufflers, then finished out to the back bumper with 2 1/2". Sounds pretty serious!

Here's photos of some of the finishing touches for Wayne's '55 Chevy. Notice the 1-off alternator bracket with idler pulley to divert v-bolt away from contacting water pump.

NEW PRODUCT: Stainless Steel Alignment Shims When we were putting the finishing touches on a particularly nice 1955 Belair, we had a heck of a time finding an alignment shim that looked half decent and would do the job properly (looking at you old used shims). One week, five designs, and three prototypes later, we had gotten the ball rolling.... Introducing our first chassis related dress-up item, a Stainless Steel, precision cut shim for any car using a 7/16 upper A-arm mounting stud // bolt. These are sold in a kit, coming with everything needed for most alignment jobs. Tell your alignment shop to call us first before your beautiful project is finished off with an ugly, oversize, and potentially pre-owned shim. We also sell in smaller quantities for the at home builder. Each basic kit comes with 8 each of the three thickness, 1/8, 1/16, and 1/32. Priced to move at $44.00 per kit, you won’t regret putting that last bit of effort into eliminating a common eyesore and making your project a bit greater. Stay tuned, we’re always working on new products here at Williams.

Roller bearing upgrade kit from our buddies at Danchuk. Better than the rubber bushings of old.

Interesting combo, mocking up one of Wilwoods "race" kits with our drop spindles. Making custom caliper brackets as usual.
