We harvest a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs, citrus, and/or flowers every week for Wednesday deliveries. Plant your water! Rain harvesting techniques such as rain barrels help keep valuable water on your property for later use and in the soil for healthier landscapes. Did you know the largest use of water in our household doesn’t come from within the home but from out in the yard instead? One rain barrel collects up to 50 gallons of chemical-free water. ideal for use in gardens and lawns while saving money that would be spent on imported water.... Prepare for rainy seasons ahead by taking advantage of discounted rain barrels offered by Solana Center sponsored by the CountyOf SanDiego. Unincorporated County residents can purchase a rain barrel for as low as $25. All residents are eligible for the $35 rain barrel rebate from the Metropolitan Water District’s SoCal WaterSmart program allowing them to pay just $55 per rain barrel on up to 2 rain barrels per household. Order by January 24th for pick up in Bonita and by January 31st for pick up in Lakeside, or opt to pick up your barrel from Solana Center in Encinitas during business hours Thursday/Saturdays.

This year's Western Monarch Count brought us sad news. The Xerces Society anticipates a final total of less than 2,000 monarchs overwintering in California this year which is a significant decline from previous years. This represents an overall decline of more than 99.9% in the migratory population. While this news is disheartening there are still things we can do to help monarch populations! Plant native, plant nectar, plant now! Read the article below for more information and ideas to help increase our monarch populations! http://www.xerces.org//monarch-population-in-california-sp
