The spring and summer months are when our wild neighbors are seeking den sites and giving birth to their young. Now is the time when skunks, raccoons, squirrels and other wild animals will be seeking shelter under and around accessible areas of your home or business. Nature will continue on her course, and will not stop due to the corona virus crisis. Normally, this is our busiest time of year. However, this year is different. With the Covid-19 virus scare, people are seque...stered in their homes and frightened. They are self-isolating and not wanting contact with other people. At Wildlife Detectives, we understand this. Our experienced team, with over 10 years of experience is available to assist with wildlife conflicts, and we do not have to make contact with people who feel they might be at risk. Our inspections and wildlife exclusion work occurs outside and under your home. All contact with our wildlife detectives can occur via email, phone or text. Please give us a call. Wildlife Detectives is here to help.
Please. Never, ever use snap traps outdoors.
We, Wildlife Detectives, would like to thank all of our customers, friends and partners for the support and trust on our company thru out the years. Also a very special thank to our competitors, because they motivate us to keep improving even more the quality of our work. For those who would like to see flaws in our performance and they can't (they know who they are), we also wish them all the best and be certain that, with responsibility, respect to our commitment with wild...life and our customers, our company will keep growing and we will keep helping to make the world a better place, one animal at a time. Possums and Opossums are two different species, found in different parts of the world. In North America, we have Opossums, however they are often incorrectly called Possum. Possums are found in Australia and New Zealand. Opossums can play dead when threatened from predators, and the term "playing possum," while is a descriptive of this behavior, is technically incorrect.
If anyone performs wildlife exclusion work on your home, and the amount if over $500, under CA law, this person must be a licensed general contractor. Wildlife Detectives is owned and operated by David Martins, a resident of Marin, who is fully compliant with all licenses. We are aware of other companies doing exclusion work in the SF Bay area, that are not fully licensed. ... Caveat Emptor. This law was passed to protect consumers.
Baby season is upon us. A helpful video if you encounter a squirrel baby you "suspect" is an orphan.

Robbins used many different captures on the trail cam and photoshopped them together, showing a variety of wildlife including a skunk, mountain lion, coyote, bobcat, raccoon, bear and skunk: https://activenorcal.com/these-backyard-trail-cam-composi/
Squirrel baby season has begun. Careful when trimming trees, and if the trees are not a threat, hold off on any tree removal or trimming until fall.
