A view from the bright side: The recent lack of guitar players @ my Weds jam has allowed me the opportunity to create horn parts for classic guitar driven songs... like Hotel California. This totally changes the feel and flavor of a popular timeless hit, thereby giving it a fresh original sound. I've always believed that if you are going to perform a cover tune, you should do it at least as well as the original or change the groove up enough to make it unique and special. Many thanks to Jay Furtado and the Dew Drops band for showing me how this can be done in oh so many ways! See more

The pre-Independence Day Covid-safe Weds Night BBQ & Open Jam is ON! Free BBQ 6:30-7:30pm (donations of food & cash welcome) Open Jam Session 7:30-10pm Bring your own face mask, hand sanitzer provided. WHQ is a 2300 sq ft converted warehouse event space with 30 foot ceiling and lots of ventilation.... Our fully equipped stage has a full backline & 24 channel PA. (Guitarist should bring their own amps) All mics will have color coded freshly sterilized windsocks, but if you are a vocalist, feel free to bring your own personal mic. Kids are ALWAYS welcome here and encouraged to participate under the guidance of the excellent mentoring musicians that always come down to jam. If you have a beach or lawn/camping chair set up out front, we also have a wood burning fireplace on the driveway. Bottled water & yummy coffee are also provided, but feel free to bring other things to grill or sodas. WHQ is a privately owned event space/rehearsal studio and we have already been vetted by the local PD and they even have stopped by for hot dogs & cheeseburgers.
