The recent wildfires have devastated some of our local communities and churches. West Hills is working through Twin Lakes Church in Aptos to coordinate aid. There are many practical ways for our church family to help: 1) Pray for churches and individuals impacted by the fires. Pray that many who don't know Jesus would come to follow Him. Pray that believers would be comforted by God in this time of sorrow. 2) Give money to help with relief efforts. You can give online throug...h Twin Lakes in the link below. You can also send checks to Twin Lakes Church (2701 Cabrillo College Dr, Aptos, CA 95003). Make checks out to Twin Lakes Church and mark for Fire Relief. 3) Provide housing. Many in the area have lost everything and are in need of housing. Housing can be on the coast or in the south bay as many people work outside of Santa Cruz county. An Update from our elders- As the COVID-19 crisis has developed, one of the hidden blessings is that many churches have come together for mutual prayer and support. The link attached to this post is a letter crafted by the South Valley Pastors Network. It communicates that we as local churches are standing together in unity as we pass through this crisis. Please pray for the Church in the south county - made up of multiple congregations - that together, we will present the go...od news of Jesus Christ together, for the benefit of our communities and for the glory of Jesus Christ. In addition, many are wondering whether West Hills Morgan Hill and San Jose will re-open Sunday, May 31st. Because we are awaiting new guidelines from our county's health department, we will not re-open May 31st. However, we are developing a plan to re-open, and we will keep you updated about our re-opening plans. Please keep us in prayer as we serve the church in these unprecedented times.
