This year, students utilized the platform Zoom for the CSHP Quiz Bowl. Teams were put into breakout rooms to discuss answers to questions and then answered questions displayed through Kahoot! The questions were very challenging and required teams to quickly agree on an answer. Teams were awarded points based on accuracy and speed. At the end, students had a fun bonus Disney trivia round to finish off the event! We would like to congratulate our students who participated and thank them for representing our WesternU CSHP chapter! #WesternUProud

Dr. Janice Hoffman authored a short piece titled, Does Deprescribing Improve Function in Older Persons? for California Association of Long-Term Care Medicine. Congrats Dr. Janice Hoffman named President Elect of CALTCM!!! At the Summit for Excellence Annual Meeting of the California Association of Long-Term Care Medicine (CALTCM), Dr. Janice Hoffman was named President Elect of CALTCM. She is the first pharmacist to serve in this capacity, and will be the first to represent CALTCM at the Society for Post-Acute and Long-Term Care Medicine-American Medical Directors Association House of Delegates meeting. It is a two-year term, and s...he will begin her position as President in 2022. Also at the Summit for Excellence meeting, Dr. Hoffman presented a roundtable titled, In the Trenches, which addressed deprescribing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Dr. Hoffman also oriented a plenary lecture on Does Deprescribing Improve Function in the Elderly.
