"You know how when you fall in love it's as if all your past relationships led up to this? That's how you will feel when you get your baby." Here are some 5 great tips from a new mom:

WEST COAST FERTILITY AWARDED THREE YEAR IMQ CERTIFICATION ! West Coast Fertility, located in Orange County California, is delighted to congratulate the nurses, coordinators, administration and embryology staff on achieving a three year certification of the operating room, anesthesia services and recovery area at our center!!... The Institute for Medical Quality is licensed by the State of California to certify outpatient medical facilities meeting the standards to perform surgical procedures using intravenous anesthesia. Preparations for the on-site survey begin up to 12 months in advance as policy and procedure manuals are checked and updated. As a certified center we are obligated to insure that medical equipment logs are updated, fire drills completed and dozens of details are in compliance with IMQ requirements. Traveling to a seminar in the Bay Area was one of many steps taken by the certification committee in preparation for our site visit. Mock drills were conducted in anticipation of the intense scrutiny which takes place during these nerve racking inspections. The preparations paid off!! After eight rigorous hours of probing and questioning by the IMQ surveyor we were happily informed that we had earned a Three Year Award of Certification, granted only to facilities that meet the highest standards of patient care.

"That transparency starts by telling the truth about our own struggles with infertility, inspiring others to release any regret, shame or confusion they carry, to accept themselves and their circumstances, to reimagine motherhood on their own terms, and to walk confidently down their unique paths toward the children they're ready to love."

Over a 4-year period, NYU Langone Health and their School of Medicine reviewed 1,894 three top-read print magazines that typically has a readership audience of reproductive-aged women to analyze mentions/stories of fertility, pregnancy, or motherhood. They found: - 240 individual celebrities received at least one fertility-related mention, with the majority being of an advanced maternal age. - Only 2 subjects were reported to have used assisted reproductive technology (ART). ... - 7 subjects over the age of 44 years were depicted as pregnant or having delivered healthy infants with no mention of ART. - No mention of infertility prior to adoption. - No mention of the use of donor eggs. Some celebrities are open about their experiences with infertility, but most are not. That's their choice, and we're glad to see the tides changing in how influential women speak about their fertility, but let's hope for more transparency in how the media depicts these very real experiences. Let's talk about fertility.

When we first decided that we both wanted a baby together we made several appointments to see about reversing his vasectomy and all of them came back with the same answer, Raven’s mom recalled. It had been too long since it was done [We] needed to have IVF in order to make this work. Our Center implanted 2 embryos, and the IVF process went smoothly for the couple. Their family was expecting twins. At 9 weeks, Raven’s mom was admitted to the hospital for a pituitary brai...n tumor and heard the unfortunate news that one of their twins vanished. Despite this, along with an emergency procedure to remove the tumor, stress, medications, carpal tunnel, and pre-eclampsia that Raven’s mom went through, Raven’s parents welcomed their baby girl on July 14, 2013. Raven has brought so much joy into our lives, I cannot imagine what it was like to not have her, Raven’s mom says. From scoring goals on the soccer field to diving into the deep end of our pool to swim to the bottom and pull up her toys, there is nothing this girl cannot do. If you’re thinking about seeking help with your fertility, Raven’s mom advises, It is never too late to give up on your dreams of starting a family. We had so many obstacles in our way and we pushed through every one of them. I had waited my entire life to become a mother and now I finally am. The scariest part of this process is making the first appointment and finding out your options. Once you make the decision to move forward, you are in the very best hands with Dr. Diaz and his staff.
