Congratulations to our very own Jeff Williams on his retirement. Jeff joined WCA in 1993. He started with WCA in Southern California and made the move up north to Sacramento as we expanded and opened new locations where he has excelled as a Foreman. We appreciate all your hard work over the last 28 years, Jeff. Relax, unwind and enjoy your retirement!

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Cosme! Cosme works with our Arizona Team and started as a groundman in 2020. From his Manager: "To be an employee of the month requires more than doing the basics of being reliable, hardworking and a quick study. This employee has shown that it is possible to show up with a positive attitude everyday despite weather conditions and the difficulty of cleanup even when it is 110 degrees outside. In addition to his positive attitude, this employee shows attention to detail and an eagerness to learn new skills and advance his career. Though he has been with WCA for less than a year, he has proven himself with his peers."

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Raul! Raul has been with WCA for over 30 years and is a part of our team servicing the Northeast Los Angeles region. His experience can be seen in his technical skills and capabilities while performing a job, whether it be tree trimming or removals. This, combined with a positive attitude, makes him a great example for those joining WCA and wanting to learn more about tree care. Great job Raul!

Thanksgiving is a time for gratitude. This year, we have faced unprecedented obstacles, but we are so thankful for all of those that have helped WCA continue to provide professional and safe tree care services. It wouldn’t be possible without our talented team members, valued customers, partners, suppliers and all of the wonderful communities we serve. We wish you all a very happy and safe Thanksgiving!

Congratulations to our November Employee of the Month, Rebecca! Rebecca works in our Plant Health Care Department providing customers with arborist reports, tree assessments and more! She has been putting in Saturdays to help keep up with the high demand for arborist services. Since starting with us in 1995, she has been essential to our operations due to her experience, training and knowledge of arboriculture. Thank you for your hard work and dedication, Rebecca!

Check out these newly planted palm trees in the City of Irwindale medians. Palm trees were from our very own nursery in Anaheim.

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month, Pablo! Pablo came from Great Pacific Equipment to WCA in May 2019 with 30 years’ experience on cranes and booms. He was tasked with overseeing and repairing all the 1090i (Big Boom) swaps, and regular boom swaps and has done a stellar job with attention to detail, and has extensive knowledge of Hi Ranger/Terex booms. He freely shares his knowledge with other mechanics and has raised the level of quality repairs here in Anaheim. Pablo is a true asset to the maintenance team.

The role of a firefighter is one of dedication, commitment and sacrifice. As California is facing unprecedented #wildfire activity, we sincerely thank all #californiafirefighters (The California State Firefighters' Association) for their bravery and strength. As a company that manages urban forests throughout California, we have worked closely with CAL FIRE and appreciate their continued efforts to protect life, property and the State’s wildlands. This massive eucalyptus tree was diagnosed with an incurable sulphur fungus that had spread throughout the tree. The City of Pleasanton deemed it a public safety hazard once limbs started falling in the park. As sad as we were to see such a beautiful tree go, our priority is to help the city mitigate risk and keep the community safe. Way to go Patrick and crew!

Congratulations to our Employee of the Month from the Inland Empire area, Paulino! Paulino has been working at WCA for 14 years with dedication, a good attitude and is always willing to help the team get the job done in a safe way. He takes excellent care of his equipment because he knows that his equipment will take care him. For his hard work and dedication, we thank you Paulino!

Congratulations to our newest Board Certified Master Arborist, Gene! Gene and our SD Office Team enjoyed a congratulatory lunch for earning his BCMA certification. To qualify for this level of certification requires an accumulation of points from categories such as measurable experience, formal education, related credentials, and/or professional experience. Once qualified, a candidate must then pass a lengthy exam. Great job Gene, you are an asset to our team! #keepgrowing #goldstandard

The numerous wildfires raging in California are devastating to the environment and those living nearby. Consequently, these fires create difficult working conditions for everyone and we are thankful for our crews hanging in there and doing the best they can despite the smoky conditions.
