Dear Friends and Family, I write you today about an opportunity to bring more love and light into our bay area communities. There is a powerful new collective b...eing formed in Oakland and we need your help to save it from a premature ending. Gregory Alvey, a beautiful spirit, has been attempting to set up a warehouse arts and flow collective for several months now and due to the breaking of agreements by some of his initial roommates and several other unfortunate blows Greg has had the daunting task of carrying the burden of rent for the entirety of the more than 4000 sq ft space. This has drained his resources to the breaking point. The space is now in danger of being lost because of the financial difficulties. However, if we can raise the support necessary to carry us through to May 1st there is a brilliant ray of hope. Mama Love, Greg, myself, as well as few other members of community have set out in earnest to define a new paradigm for the space and breathe new life into it. That breath of life is Serendipity. Serendipity is: 1) To bring Inspiration 2) The Perfect Time, the Perfect Place, with the Perfect People. These concepts are the basis of serendipity. You may be asking yourself what is the vision of serendipity? VISION Serendipity is a Community dedicated to Integrity, Creativity, Flow and Self-Empowerment. We are dedicated to a vision of inspiring abundant light, love and compassion. Modeling a new paradigm of inter-personal relations and creating enlivened community..We observe three of levels of involvement: as Members of Serendipity, of Community, and of the larger World. We are committed to this vision and we are determined to bring it to life in a spirit of communality and cooperation. We are crafting of a well defined system of governance and accountability that will bring the structure needed to allow creativity, inspiration and healing to flourish. Serendipity’s mission is guided and powered by the alignment with and cultivation of: Flow, Compassion, Enlivenment and Integrity.
