You are not like anyone else. Though another person may have similar personality patterns, likes, and desires it doesn’t meant that they are you. Literally no one else else in this world has had the same life experiences you’ve had. And those life experiences have shaped you into becoming the person you are today. . That being said, your current and future life experiences are also not going to look exactly like someone else’s. A lot of times we might expect ourselves to... have experiences that look just like others have experienced, but it’s not realistic. . You are uniquely you. You have your own unique history, thoughts, ideas, feelings, needs, wants and dreams. Honor that and tune into what it is that you truly want and need rather than get caught up in doing what other people want and need. . . . . . . . . . . . . . #relationships #family #friends #life #selfdiscovery #human #loveyourself #loveyou #millennialtherapist #holistictherapist #psychology #worthit #emotions #emotionalhealth #mentalhealth #mentalhealthtips #growth #tips #lessons #awareness #acceptance #selfacceptance #therapistsofIG #therapistsofinstagram #mentalhealthmovement #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealthawareness #beyou#intentionalliving #selflove See more

Contrary to how many of us were raised to believe, there are no good or bad emotions. All are equally valid, important, and completely normal and inherently healthy. If we don’t acknowledge and honor our emotions (but rather repress them or make up some story about how it’s bad or wrong), that’s when, over time, various mental health issues (and even physical health issues) can arise.
