Remember when everyone thought cigarettes were harmless? Then it manifested into the 1940-1950 lung cancer epidemic. Without a doubt, sugar-sweetened beverages are linked to obesity, diabetes, non-alcohol fatty liver disease, and cardiovascular disease. (Along with many other diseases). Would you keep drinking soda if there was a warning label on it? Would you continue to order a Starbucks Frappuccino for your child if they were required to put up warning signs?... Unpopular opinion because ignoring the real epidemic at hand is much, much easier.

About two years ago, I started journaling daily. I practice a form of the "morning pages" created by Julia Cameron. Writing has completely transformed my life. It's one of those habits (like sleeping 8+ hours or drinking adequate water) that I'll never stop because of the benefits I’ve received. The Food-Writing Journal came into existence because of my experience with writing.... I wrote a blog post about my experience with journaling a while back (which I will link in my bio) Why I continue to write daily: 1. work through problems 2. understand my emotions 3. brainstorm ideas 4. simple brain-drain 5. enter a meditative state I cannot stress this enough: Writing is a powerful tool.
