Enjoy an evening out on the waters of the Suisun Marsh! Grizzly Waters Kayaking will lead a night time paddle to view the Orionids Meteor Shower on October 22 from 12:00 am - 2:00 am. The Orionids Meteor Shower produces up to 20 meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by dust grains left behind by comet Halley.... Get the Rush at Rush Ranch! This month is the annual scavenger hunt: October 17 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm! This series of fun activities for the whole family, offered on the third Saturday of every month at Rush Ranch. This event is FREE! Guests are encouraged to practice social distancing guidelines during your visit. All ages and mobility levels are welcome. ... All activities will start at 1030am. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Participants may arrive at 10am for the Science Discovery labs or the docent-led walk alongside the marsh. Participants for the hike will meet by the flagpole. Mankas Grill is now open earlier to enjoy cocktails, wine, beer, and sharable bites on their front porch and gazebo before the dinner rush! New Hours: 2PM 5PM (and regular dinner hours 5PM 9PM) Wednesday through Sunday.
Larry's Produce pumpkin patch is full of pumpkins and ready for visitors! Due to covid restrictions they have limited some of their normal fall activities, but they do have a corn maze! Open 9-5 everyday.
Rustwater Taproom in Downtown Fairfield is open for limited indoor seating at 25% capacity! There are two 4 tops and 1 two top inside as well as their outside patio. What to know: there is a one and a half hour time limit for each table, you must keep masks on when not seated at your table, tabs must include food, and maintain the six foot distance.

Throwback Thursday! John F. Kennedy made a stop at the Suisun City train depot on Sept. 8, 1960, while the then-senator was on a whistle-stop train tour during his presidential campaign against Richard Nixon. It's estimated 2,000 people were at the depot to hear the senator's 10-minute speech. Also pictured: Suisun Mayor Julian Morrison, Senator Luther Gibson, Congressman Robert Leggett and Governor Edmund Brown (father of Governor Jerry Brown).
