We need your feedback on the Goshen Trail! In order to apply for a federal grant, we're asking Visalians to take part in a quick survey on what improvements the...y'd like to see on the Goshen Trail. Why this trail? It is located in a unique area that connects residential development to downtown as well as the industrial park. The survey is online now in English and Spanish, details and survey links here: https://bit.ly/2ZNKIU5
News: The City of Visalia is currently accepting applications for a vacancy on the Parks and Recreation Commission. We are looking for people who are passiona...te about parks and recreation and want to play a role in developing parks and recreation not just for today, but also into the future, stated Laurissa Roggenkamp, Visalia Parks and Recreation Manager. It is with great sadness that the City of Visalia Parks & Recreation Department is announcing that all in-person classes, programs and events are on hold until ...further notice, following updated guidelines set by Governor Newsom, the County of Tulare and the California Department of Public Health. All community centers are closed to the public at this time. Please keep checking back for changes; as health conditions permit, programming will be added. We miss seeing our active Visalians but hope that soon we will be welcoming you back to our classes, leagues and community centers. The Visalia Senior Center will continue to provide to-go lunch for seniors ages 55 and better. Lunches are available in the parking lot for pick-up/to-go only Monday - Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. until further notice. Lunches are $6 or $4.50 for Visalia Seniors. Seniors must call (559) 713-4481 to reserve their lunch by 12 p.m. one business day prior. Please visit https://bit.ly/VisaliaSeniorCenter to view the monthly menu. For questions, contact the Recreation Business Office at (559) 713-4365 Monday - Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. or email [email protected]. City of Visalia, CA
For all those who did not see them. WE salute the first responders and honor those who are on the front line.

Celebrating Easter at Home The Visalia Police Department wants you to have a safe and happy Easter weekend. We realize that the Stay-At-Home orders, social dist...ancing guidelines and park closures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 may cause changes to your plans. We put together a short video with ideas on celebrating Easter at home. Some of the tips include dressing up at home, scheduling video calls with friends and family who don’t live with you, participating in online Easter services, decorating contests with the kids instead of dying eggs that could be used for food, and playing Easter themed games. We want to wish everyone a safe and happy Easter. Remember, we are #inthistogether. #EasterAtHome #SaferAtHome #SocialDistancing

You choose one of the countless organizations like ours, and every time you buy eligible items Amazon will donate money to your preferred Charitable Organization. On your first visit to AmazonSmile (smile.amazon.com), you are prompted to select a charitable organization from o...ur list of eligible organizations. You can change your selection at any time. To change your charitable organization: Sign in to smile.amazon.com on your desktop or mobile phone browser. From your desktop, go to Your Account from the navigation at the top of any page, and then select the option to Change your Charity. Or, from your mobile browser, select Change your Charity from the options at the bottom of the page. Select a new charitable organization to support.
