A couple weeks ago, we received this beautiful Boston Terrier / French Bulldog from the city of Rosemead animal control. He came in with bloody poop and was completely overheating from being in a hot animal control car, and from being outside in this heat! We named this boy Allen. We knew something was definitely wrong - he went to the vet and was diagnosed with a prolapsed anus. Because he was still in the legal possession of the city (city of Rosemead requires a 7 day hold...ing period), we had to ask for permission and funds for his surgery from the city. The city denied, and asked that he be euthanized. However, we couldn't let that happen to Allen! Our vet quoted us $800, and that's including the medicine he's taking currently as he recovers! We've raised almost $300 for his bills, but we're looking to raise more to help cover the costs!! Even $5 will help us! Venmo @vidarescue or donate below!!

Meet 2 year old Zeke! This sweet boy is a Shepherd / Labrador / Rottweiler mix who came to us as an owner surrender early this week. He is a sweet, gentle boy and is a medium energy dog who was relinquished because he "got too big for our yard", according to previous owners. They got him as a puppy and likely kept him outside (he has fly bites all over his years, a telltale sign of an outdoor dog). Zeke is now looking for a forever home to call his own, where he'll get to... sleep with his people and live a full life every dog deserves! We're happy to say we've been consistently having over 100 adoptions monthly. We haven't counted last month's yet even!
