Join us this coming Sunday morning - Fathers' Day. We will be reading the word of God, singing the great hymns of the church, and recognizing our dads in several ways, We recently concluded our AWANA Club year as well and this Sunday we will acknowledge the hard work of all our clubbers for their memorizing Scripture. The sermon will be of Ezekiel 18 and is entitled, "The Fathers' Sins and Their Children's Teeth." It all begins at 10:15 this Sunday morning. "See you then."
This study on the doctrine of Eternal Security is among the most comforting certainties to which believers in Jesus can cling in these uncertain times.
Missionary Work
Dear friends, Join us tomorrow morning at 10:15 as we worship the Lord! Our service will include the singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, Scripture reading (Ezekiel 33), prayer, Bible memory, and time devoted to prayer with one another as a congregation. Our special guests are Dave and Joan Ohlson. Long time missionaries with Wycliffe Bible Translators, they will be updating us on their lives and ministry(s) and Dave will preach on the importance of reaching people i...n THEIR language, The morning concludes with a FELLOWSHIP MEAL, shared together around the table. The Livestream starts at 10:15 and we hope to see you then! Pastor Mike
"Go with God in your heart and be a blessing." So went the chorus we sang at the close of each Sunday evening service when I attended Grace Community Church. As I grew in my Christian faith, I still marvel at the profound nature of this saying. The Bible says to do our work from the heart as for the Lord. In other words, He is our boss - the One for whom we work. In the end, it is His evaluation we will receive. Go with God, because we work for Him. I invite you to join me for this Bible on Our Day broadcast as the Bible exhorts us to have the Lord in our thoughts as we work.
Though we may not immediately see it, God is at work. This is the marvelous and wonderful reality of divine providence. Like an intricate tapestry, we see the underside, but He the pattern that He has planned. In just as much an amazing way, divine providence was the means by which God gave us the inspired writings of the Bible.

Fellow Worshippers of the Living God, Welcome to church this morning. Today we will be examining the second of three vital terms related to our gathering together. According to the apostle, we are "the church of the living God" (1 Tim 3:15b). I hope you will join us at 10:15 am either at church or on Facebook. God is with us - the God of Jacob is our refuge!... The Master Weaver. I first heard this beautifully penned poem on a Night Sounds Broadcast with Bill Pearce. It is a testimony to the providence of God and summarizes vital theological truths penned by David in Psalm 139. I found it again on this dear Christian widow's blog. It is most encouraging! https://beingwoven.org//the-master-weaver-a-poem-and-prai/.
Perseverance is a rare quality. Tenacity, hanging in there, sticktuativeness are vitally important if one will be successful at virutally any endeavor - vocation, career, business, politics, ministry...life. Tragically, some marked by this "never give up" spirit become successful at the wrong thing; whereas many others start out right, but fail to complete what they begin. In no other realm is this more vital than in one's faith - his religious beliefs and convictions. When it comes to God - we must believe rightly and then rightly believe. In this Bible on Our Day broadcast, we look at Paul, an eternally secure soul who finished the race!
Dear church family and friends of Victor Valley Bible Church, This morning at 10:15 we return for another look at prayer - this time on the matter of thanking God for all men, including kings and all who are in authority (1 TIm 2:1-7). The timing is certainly appropriate, as by this time next week a vital election will have passed. Please remember to vote!
Someone once quipped, "The only certain thing we can know for certain about these times is the uncertainty of these times." Yes, we know how tumultuous life and human society can be. So it has been since man's original sin. But, in the midst of all the chaos, there is One revealed of in the Bible who does not and, indeed, cannot change. He is a very present help in trouble.
All Christians pray and most pray for those they love, like family members and dear friends. But the Lord Jesus and HIs beloved apostle Paul would also have us to remember our enemies and even wicked civil authorities before His throne of grace. In this Bible on Our Day broadcast, I take up Paul's exhortation to pray and especially explore reasons for which we can thank God for those who rule over us.
Dear church family and friends, In today's service we address the very real and contemporary matter of praying for "kings and all who are in authority." We will be closing out our study on Paul's "first of all" exhortation for church life (1 Tim 2:1-7). We will be worshiping in house at the church and welcome all wish to share our worship service online. It all begins at 10:15 am. See you then and, as always, thank you for your love and support! Pastor Mike
Many Christians, I have learned, read the Bible and claim to love it, but relatively few it, at least, seem to appreciate the benefits of hiding God's word away in their hearts. In this Bible On Our Day broadcast, I challenge us to consider the many blessings that come when we internalize the promises of God.
Dear friends and family of Victor Valley Bible Church. As you know, memorizing God's word is an important part of our church life. Ashley, a sister in Christ who lives in Alabama, recently came across my recent article on The Value of Scripture Memory. She recommended The Bible Memory App. I checked it out and am duly impressed. Allow me to pass on her recommendation to you as well. God bless, Pastor Mike
1 Timothy 2:1-7 Part Two
The experience of being born again yields a kind of explosive eagerness to tell others what had happened. In this Bible On Our Day broadcast I am pleased to share my own testimony of how Jesus Christ changed my life from one of self-righteousness to trust in God's Son alone for my eternal salvation. What is your story?
In this Bible on Our Day broadcast, I challenge us to consider the God-ordained priorioty of teaching and preaching. Ours is a culture given over to listening to talk, but few Christians will endure an exposition of sound dctrine from their local pulpiteer during a Sunday morning. What do you expect of your pastor in terms of his calling to talk?
For this Bible on Our Day broadcast, I challenge us to consider how consistent the apostle Paul was with his standards as he taught everywhere in every church. Christians like to pick and choose what they approve or dislike in the NT, but the apostle would have us submit our ways to those which "be in Christ."
