The products from GIS are often maps, though they can be 3D models and other images as well. Such a useful tool in a wide variety of scientific areas! On the #ShastaTrinityNF we keep our GIS people busy managing data for resource inventories (trees, plants, and wildlife) and projects. This year they have also worked a lot on fires, air operations, post-fire BAER assessments, and daily information for fire managers.
