Today the Santa Barbara South Coast Chamber of Commerce announced the winner of the Jr. Carpinterian scholarship of $4000, who is Lucia (Isa) Alarcon. I am espe...cially proud of this young lady because I had the pleasure of her interning at my office. During that time I got to know her and learned about all the time she dedicates not only to her school but to her community. She is Carp High Senior Class President, involved in many clubs on campus, has volunteered at voter polls, among many other activities. She is an exemplary Jr. Carpinteria. I can’t wait to see what she will accomplish in the future. A big congratulations to the two finalist Laura Flores and Luke Williams. See more
