How does it feel to be on OB as an intern at Ventura? . You’re responsible for both antepartum and postpartum care including triage , labor & delivery, and postpartum checks on mom and baby . . Sounds like a lot? That’s because it is...but you’re never alone! Although the intern is the on-call physician, there are always OB-trained and FM-trained physicians on deck ready to help. Most of the time, there is also a SLOB who is an upperclassman assigned to do C-sections a...nd OB fellows around who are SUPER helpful . Additionally, our OB and postpartum nurses are amazing at their jobs and can definitely give you a hint or two on what to do . Which means you get to deliver ALL the babies with the most support possible! .
