Monday Nov 2 we will tie a freshwater scud. The photo shows an actual skeleton of a scud from the Colorado River at Lee’s Ferry. When living in the river, the scud is olive green and thrives on the underwater vegetation. When it dies, the scud turns bright orange. This is the skeleton and is nearly 3/8 long. Join us at 9 am.

The fly for Monday, Oct. 19 will be the Royal Wulff. It was first tied by Lee Wulff. Wulff is credited with being an early conservationist. He felt that fish like the Atlantic salmon were too beautiful to catch just once and released his fish. He promoted catch and release fishing. Join in at 9 am.

Monday, October 5, the fly will be the Royal Coachman. It was thought to have been first tied in the 1800's as the Coachman and was popular in the United Kingdom. When it made it across the Atlantic to the United Stated, it was used as is and later modified to the Royal Coachman, as we tie it today. Join us at 9am.
