We want our LGBTQ students to feel welcome and included on our campus," she added.
A disturbing and enlightening reminder to our community that while we’ve made tremendous progress towards equality over the last 50 years the gay rights movement continues and we MUST remain ever vigilant!
Go Virginia, go!
Happy Fourth of July from Venice Pride! Today we recognize how far we have come in the fight for #equality and the work ahead.
LGBTQ+ Representation Matters
Here is a look back at Venice Pride's experience at the NYC 2019 WorldPride March.
"I embraced my body as beautiful and as a measure of how diverse humans are." #IntersexAwareness
We proudly represented the City of L.A.'s LGBTQ+ community in the historic NYC 2019 WorldPride March last Sunday. Venice Pride assembled an international contingent of 25 supporters from Venice Beach, and countries as far away as Hungary and Australia to march. Supporters donning Venice Pride t-shirts displayed the world’s largest free-flying rainbow Pride flag during the 2+ mile route that passed by such iconic New York City landmarks as the Flatiron Building, and The Stonewall Inn, where the modern LGBT rights movement ignited 50 years ago. The 1,410 sq. ft. flag carried in Sunday’s march previously flew over the Venice Beach Boardwalk in June 2018 for Venice Pride where it officially became the world’s largest free-flying rainbow flag overcoming the previous record of 1,033 square feet held by South Africa.

Thank you @mikeboninla, @sheilakuehl, @benallenca, and @asmautumnburke for your unwavering commitment to achieving equality for the LGBTQ+ community. A rainbow crosswalk on @abbotkinneyblvd at the doorstep of storied gay bar - what a colorful way to end Pride Month in L.A! We look forward to dedicating the crosswalk with the City of L.A. in recognition of #Stonewall50 and celebrating all we have achieved since ‘69. You fill us with pride and joy. * * * *... * * * * * * #proud #venicepride #rainbowcrosswalk #lgbtpride #losangeles #venice #venicebeach #abbotkinneyblvd #instaproud #nycpride #justunite #equality #interpride #love #instagay #stonewall #progress #celebrate #rainbow #nytimes #lesbian #gay #bisexual #transgender #queer #plus @ Roosterfish See more
