The home they had owned for the past decade, located in... a rural neighborhood in Northern California, had been the home where Kim and Matt planned to raise their two children. Just three weeks after Keegan arrived the Paradise Camp fire tragically tore apart their beloved community forever changing their lives. Read the Messina's family story https://bit.ly/3htdKk5! We had the honor of having Secretary of the California Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency, Lourdes Castro Ramirez as our keynote speaker at our virtual Homeownership Fair this year. During her keynote she expressed that making safe and affordable housing available to ALL Californians, including homeownership, is a priority for the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency and California Governor Gavin Newsom. Most recently Governor Newsom signed 15 bills that... will streamline funding for affordable housing, encourage developers to build more moderate-income homes, and help teachers find housing affordable for them, read more at https://bit.ly/3jec3Hy. The State of California has also made homeownership achievable for many low-to moderate-income families through its CalHFA program. Learn more at http://calhfa.ca.gov or call us at 805-273-7800 to learn how VCCDC can assist you with this and other programs! Thank you Secretary Castro Ramirez and Governor Newsom for making affordable housing a priority! Watch Secretary's Castro Ramirez's full keynote at https://youtu.be/KfHBxNbeHXw?t=1554
