Late last Thursday night, our Livermore Division experienced a power failure related to the surge on the system due to high temperatures. This resulted in a failure in the high voltage distribution system and back-up generator power was activated. If you have an outpatient appointment scheduled this week in Livermore, you will receive a call from our staff. If you have any questions, please contact our Telephone Care Program at 1-800-455-0057.
Here’s some photos from today’s flyover!
Veteran-run nonprofit, Huey Vets, flew over our Palo Alto campus today in salute to #healthcareworkers! #Veterans and employees watched as the group circled in an EMU 309, a 1968 Bell UH-1H Huey Helicopter fully restored to its Vietnam War-era configuration. The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day addresses a crucial public safety and public health issue. According to the 2018 National Survey on Drug Use and Health, 9.9 million Americans misused controlled prescription drugs. The study shows that a majority of abused prescription drugs were obtained from family and friends, often from the home medicine cabinet. The DEA’s Take Back Day events provide an opportunity for Americans to prevent drug addiction and overdose deaths. Visit the DEA Take Back Day website for a collection location near you. https://takebackday.dea.gov/
