A few update: Some statistics for you: we have processed 168 medal shipping orders. That is unprecedented. It seems that a lot of people were missing the concerts on Saturday where the medals would have been presented. There were also a lot of questions about whether other places like 2nd and 3rd will have medals or not. All these 24 years, USOMC have been presenting medals for all places. A correction on the 2017 event. It will be the week of Feb 20th as we always line up our event with the President Day of the year.

Today is Feb 23rd, 3 days after the competition and the weekend concert. What a event, I will say. I quoted from the program book "we have 2462 entries from different parts of the world to participate in 153 events (in total)" And sure enough, it was one hack of a week. The competition ended with 5 concerts. Each concert was also a competition within a competition. The highest honor of USOMC was also awarded to 5 to 6 extremely talented individual who performed marvelous...ly in the concerts. However, surprises did not stop here. In some categories, there were special momentary award where generous donors provided additional fund to categories of their interest. All right now. Videos are in production. USOMC will notify all contestants when they are available. While you all could rest, USOMC staffs are processing medal orders right now. thank you all for another wonderful USOMC year! Sorry folks. Too busy for the past few days that I cannot even able to write anything. As I am writing, this is the 4th day and tomorrow is the last day. Last but not the least, there is still another day packed with competition. Something new this year is the notion of a group event performer selection. USOMC is trying out something new this year in the hope to reduce the total number of concerts. Therefore, we will select only one performer out of several groups with...in the same category. This winner of the winners will perform in the concert and of course has the opportunity to win Performance Award for the concert. That is the highest honor within USOMC. Without some numbers, it is hard to determine how the competition is going. So here is some numbers for you: - Over 4000 judges' comments have been sent - Over 30,000 daily hits on our http://usomc.org/mobileguide(if you still have not used it, you should try it.) - Over 131 Gold, 273 Sliver, 314 bronze and 310 crystal medalists have been announced - 1 camera big, 1 camera and 1 piano extender has been found Wow! Mark the calendar, 2/20 from 8:30 am in the morning, 5 concerts with the best of USOMC Gold medalists. Hear the wonderful performance on the legendary 9 ft Steinway and Sons Concert piano.
