So excited for this amazing couple! Got their keys to their first home today. Closing in COVID times! We did it, and we did it well, with all the safety precautions and preparations in place. I can’t emphasize enough how much preparation and knowledge are key to buyers and sellers right now. This lovely couple walked into the open house over a month a go. It was a different time, when we could gather, chat and walk through each room together. We presented an amazing off...er, it was accepted above all other offers, they opened escrow, everything was going along as it normally does, and then within 2 weeks into escrow everything changed. Luckily, because we were well prepared our inspections were all completed before the stay at home order. With the help of a great escrow team, a lender that was communicative, a very understanding seller and listing agent- we were able to get through everything safely and close right on time. I hated not being able to hug them today and celebrate with champagne I know we will celebrate when things get back to normal. I’m grateful for all my clients, especially during this time. The LA Times just posted this article about the impact of the virus on Southern CA home sales. Thought it would be helpful to share. I held an open house last weekend, had over 50 visitors and the home received over 5 offers. Too early to tell what it's long term impact will be on life, housing and the economy. Based on this article and the open house I held this week, homes are still moving quick and receiving multiple offers.
