The juiciest, most tender, smokiest BBQ in town is at @grandolebbqflinnsprings! They serve up central Texas BBQ by the pound, ranging from house specialty brisket and pulled pork to hot links and Frito pies. The meats are wood smoked on real, massive BBQ pits and it’s all enjoyed in a huge outdoor dining area with picnic tables, firepits, and plenty of shade. We stopped by for a team lunch to celebrate USG member Andrew’s birthday! Happy birthday @shemishemiyaa! We hope you continue the celebration and have a great weekend. The $8 million makeover of downtown San Diego’s Children’s Park is moving forward with construction companies being asked to submit bids. The city park overhaul will replace the current urban forest with multiple family-friendly amenities, including a playground, a picnic and lawn area, adult exercise area, dog park, vendor kiosk, and public restrooms. Built in 1995, Children's Park is located along the south side of Island Ave between Front St and First Ave. Today, it's ...a mostly amenity-less space with no play equipment and little activity. Construction could commence as early as the start of 2021 and be completed in 9 - 12 months. NOW OPEN! @Coalbros is a Tijuana-born taco shop that uses fresh local ingredients to serve up Baja-inspired street food on a mesquite grill. Between surf & turf tacos piled high with toppings, bacon-wrapped elote, and fresh blue fin tuna tostadas, everything on the menu is deliciously crafted. Formerly operating as a pop-up shop, this taqueria finally has a home in the heart of downtown and we’re so happy to have them here! Check them out during their soft opening hours from 11am - 7pm at 407 C Street.

Stay out of the sun while enjoying an excellent meal at @civicobythepark in #BankersHill, open for outdoor dining on their gorgeous covered patio! A reflection of their popular @civico1845 in #LittleItalySD, Civico by the Park also offers a full range of fresh, handmade pasta dishes in both vegan and more traditional styles. The biggest addition to the menu, however, is pinsa, an ancient Roman-style pizza that's extremely airy while still crisp (check out the first photo for their mortadella and pistachio emulsion version ). They are an officially-certified Pinseria, which requires strict passing of quality control assessments judged by expert members of an official pinsa association.
