Course Description: This day-long class is a part of a 4-day Sports Rehabilitation Seminar Series associated with the USC Sports Residency program. You may register for this course alone, or for the 4-day course and this course will be included. . The sports-related concussion is one of the more challenging athletic injuries to evaluate and to manage. This course will focus on the evaluation and treatment of the acute sports-related concussion and post-concussion syndrome. Participants will learn about and discuss the most recent sports-related concussion guidelines. They will compare and contrast signs and symptoms of central neurological dysfunction, ocular dysfunction, vestibular dysfunction, and cervical spine disorders that may be contributing to the athlete’s presentation, and learn to differentiate between them.
