Our July Polished Pi! Claire Porter <3 Our July 2018 winner of the Polished Pi award is newly inducted Pi member, Claire Porter! Although Claire graduated this May, we know she will continue to make the world a better place like she did while at USC, and while a Delta member of Alpha Delta Pi. While attending USC, Claire was involved in I Am That Girl, USC OWN IT, Annenberg Ambassadors, Annenberg Scholars, and Lambda Pi Eta. Through these involvements, she really highlighted ...her passion for empowering women. But, Claire goes above and beyond by encouraging other women in her everyday interactions, and being a role model for others. She has held a number of leadership positions including being a chapter leader of I Am That Girl, the Speakers Director of USC OWN IT, an ambassador for Annenberg, and an ambassador for Soap and Glory. She perfectly embodies what it means to be an Alpha Delta Pi: she is selfless, kind, funny, and inclusive; she radiates positivity, expresses her beliefs passionately, and is diversely involved in leadership roles. Claire is the definition of the friend you always wished for, the inspiration you always hoped for, and the sister you never knew you needed. Congratulations on graduating and being selected for the Polished Pi Award, Claire! We love you and know you will continue to make strides toward a better world! See more

A little late on this post, but our March 2018 winner of the Polished Pi award is Becca Thoss! Becca is a senior in our chapter who plays an important role in many sisters’ lives. Becca has a wide array of outside involvements which include being a USC M.C. Gill Composites Center Research Assistant and Viterbi Freshman Academy Coach. She is the Editor in Chief of Viterbi Conversations in Ethics, President of Order of Omega and is a member of the American Institute of Chemical... Engineers and Society of Women Engineers. Through her involvements she proves to be passionate about her field of study, chemical engineering. Despite being so busy, Becca has remained involved in ADPi by living in the house for 3 years, as well as serving as Pride Chair, Philanthropy Chair, Executive Vice President, and Corresponding Secretary. She also never fails to offer to help set up or clean up for any event, showing her love for ADPi. When asked about this recipient, her friend Madelyn Merchant said Becca embodies the ideal characteristics of an ADPi because she always strives to do her best- whether it be shooting for the moon (literally), spending time with sisters, or serving as a leader on campus." Congratulations Becca! Thank you for being a great sister and an excellent example of a leader inside and outside of our chapter. We love you and are sad to see you go! See more

Our February 2018 winner of the Polished Pi award is Noelle Pardo! She is a friend to all within the house and is described by sisters as a wonderful listener and a friendly smile. She is also an incredibly positive person. Her involvements include: the Student Alumni Association, Society 53, Club Beach Volleyball, and training to be a tour guide for the Admissions Center. In addition, she is extremely passionate about her studies which relate to sustainability and medicine.... Noelle remains involved in ADPi by being a part of our Sports Committee and being both a positive and consistent presence in many sisters’ lives. When asked about this recipient, her friend Lucine Beylerian said Noelle brightens up every room she walks into. Her schedule is busier than I can imagine, but she always has a smile on her face and will always make time to listen to me when I'm having a bad day. She is the one who inspires me to become more involved and who makes me feel excited about the things I am pursuing. I look forward to our dinners every Friday night because even after a long and tiring week, its worth it. I am so lucky to have her as a fellow ADPI and one of my best friends. Violets to you Noelle! Thank you for being the ideal representation of a sister in Alpha Delta Pi. We love you! See more
