Our recipes are an 80/20 blend. 80% raw meat, crushed raw bone and raw organ meat. The 20% consists of high nutrient dense raw fruits and veggies plus micronutrients such as ground organic flax seed (dietary fiber) and wild Alaskan salmon oil (omega fatty acids). All ingredients come from whole food sources. This is the diet nature intended for animals which is also termed ancestral diet. Dogs and cats have survived thousands of years on this diet. Over the last 100 years sin...ce the invention of poor quality pet food, animals health has suffered and pets lifespans have decreased. In 1970 a dog’s lifespan was 17 years. Today a dog’s lifespan is 11 years. Why? Poor diet. This can be prevented. Feeding a raw, whole food diet from a local source that you can trust can prevent this. Does the company you buy your pet food from show you how they make their products and where they come from? They should. The number one ingredient in ANY pet food recipe should be clean, human grade meat not meat flavor or fillers. Our pet companions deserve the best. Animals will eat garbage but they are not trash cans and they trust that you are making the right decisions for them. Do the right thing and read those labels. There should be few ingredients and all recognizable. If you see potatoes, rice, pasta, corn, wheat, etc those are fillers so the pet food companies can get rich on selling you inadequate food for your pets which can lead to many preventable diseases like skin allergies and pancreatitis. Carbohydrates are not appropriate for a regular diet. Knowledge is power and critical thinking will win the day.
