Bay Area Urban Debate League (BAUDL)

Ne’Jahra Soriano has not lost a debate at a BAUDL tournament for the past 6 tournaments and 24 debate rounds! BAUDL wishes to recognize the work and commitment that goes into such an unprecedented accomplishment by renaming our annual season opener tournament to The Ne’Jahra Soriano BAUDL Season Opener. We look forward to working with Ne’Jahra for the rest of her senior year and are excited to see what her future brings after she leaves BAUDL.

This Thursday October 22nd at 5PM the Bay Area Urban Debate League is hosting College Night. This is for youth who are interested in debate to explore opportuni...ties in the activity in college. We have invited people from local junior colleges to private institutions to come and speak to you about how you can continue your debate career. Reasons why you should attend: Debate scholarship information will be available. Networking with the college debate network. You will get first hand knowledge about of where debate can take you. It is recruitment time! Help us spread the word that the debate team is back on campus. I understand recruiting online may seem difficult, but BAUDL staff is here to assist you with getting it done. 13 Bay Area law firms have been competing this month to see who can raise the most money for the BAUDL as part of the 2020 Champions of Diversity fundraiser. We've whittled those firms down to 4 in each of our two divisions. Over the last couple days of the month the final four will be competing for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division. Wyllene is an alumna of BAUDL’s 2010 cohort and is our Student leadership council manager. . . Wyllene has a range of experience in engaging with debater by organizing recruitment events to conducting group building exercises. . . She stated Engaging with students may be different because we aren’t in person this year, but I’m driven to offer debater the same experience. . .
