We did something today that we believe has never been done before. By anyone. Ever. And we are very excited about it. On Tuesday, September 22nd, we did the following:... We hooked up and towed our mobile power station on US highways to a test location 12 miles (20 km) away. We set up the wind turbine. We ran the turbine for a little over an hour in wind conditions of 13-17 mph (5.8-7.6m/s). In that hour, we generated instantaneous power ranging from 5-7kW!!! We returned the turbine to the towing configuration. We towed it back to our facility. I am sooooo stoked about what we accomplished today! We did something that has never been done before anywhere in the world. And it wasn't some obscure thing - we made #energy, lots and lots of energy.... Everybody needs energy! The fact that we did it with a device that we (Uprise Energy) designed and engineered from the ground up is incredibly rewarding! But what I'm really geeked up about is that we did this in less than 4 hours roundtrip. What did we do? Glad ya asked ;) In UNDER 4hrs, we... connected our Mobile Power Station towed it 12 miles (20km) fully set up the mobile #windturbine ran the turbine for a little over an hour generated 6kWh broke down the turbine towed it back to Uprise HQ in UNDER 4 hours!! We have very exciting news to share! One of the primary benefits of our Portable Wind Turbine is the fact that it will generate electricity in much lower wind speed conditions than traditional wind turbines. This is possible due to many factors, but two key features are the efficiency of our wind blade design and our proprietary Dancing with the Wind technology. In our focus to maximize the energy density of our portable platform, we identified the exponential growth of po...wer as wind speed increases. We knew that to take advantage of this additional energy, we would need to vary the RPM of our turbine rotor so that it follows the changes in wind speed, maintaining an optimized tip-speed-ratio. This is the feature that we’ve coined Dancing with the Wind, and as you’ll see in the video, it works exceptionally well. Recent testing has shown that not only are we able to meet the already unmatched performance, but that we exceeded it by a significant factor.
