We hope you are all enjoying your holiday season! In honor of ringing in the New Year, we wanted to post a few throwback pictures of past dances! Do you recognize some of these pieces? While we are performing on stage, the lights can drown out our facial features so it is important that we all know how to properly accentuate them to look our best in stage! Hello everyone! Important update about this year’s dance season: Unfortunately, Cal State will remain online for the Spring semester, which unfortunately means that we won’t be able to host an end of the year performance. But that won’t stop us from doing what we love; dancing with our dance family! We know that everyone is facing a difficult time right now and we want to help you guys and provide a safe and comfortable place for everyone to dance and enjoy themselves. ... That being said, this year, we will be hosting more informal, open, and public rehearsals every other Sunday, (starting the 27th, enjoy the 20th off). That’s right, open to anyone and everyone who needs a creative and fun outlet with these crazy times, so invite your friends and family! Even past members who maybe moved or wouldnt be able to join otherwise, all are welcome! The new schedule will be pictured below. This season will still focus on technique classes featuring a consistent warm up, stretch, and ballet class. Then, we will have an alternating technique class that will host someone new every week! It can be anything from Hip Hop, to African, to Jazz, to Bollywood, and so much more! If you are interested in teaching a guest technique class, simply message us via Facebook or email us at [email protected]! Following this time slot, we will host Choreography Blocks, that is the same choreographer for a few rehearsals to learn some awesome choreography! This means shorter days for those who may be overwhelmed with school or work or life, and a chance to still learn and grow as dancers.
