"Tuesday Time Travel." The iconic Chancellor Hotel on Union Square in Downtown San Francisco is known as where "the Cable Car Stops at your Front Door." Built for the Panama Pacific International Exposition of 1915, it was the tallest hotel building in San Francisco when it opened for business in 1914. These evocative pictures of the hotel are from shortly after its opening. The aerial shot of Union Square is likely from the 1920s from an airplane of the period. https://lnkd.in/gyjecpT
