[[FOR UPDATES FOR COVID19 for San Francisco Click Here: https://bit.ly/2VdN2kH]] If your employer has reduced your hours or shut down operations due to COVID-19..., you can file an Unemployment Insurance (UI) claim. UI provides partial wage replacement benefit payments to workers who lose their job or have their hours reduced, through no fault of their own. Workers who are temporarily unemployed due to COVID-19 and expected to return to work with their employer within a few weeks are not required to actively seek work each week. However, they must remain able and available and ready to work during their unemployment for each week of benefits claimed and meet all other eligibility criteria. Eligible individuals can receive benefits that range from $40-$450 per week. #COVID19 #Coronavirus #California For more information: https://edd.ca.gov/about_edd/coronavirus-2019.htm

During your termination, your employer may ask you to sign a severance agreement, offering to pay you money in addition to what is already owed to you. While this may seem enticing when you lose your job, it is important that you review and understand the agreement you are signing, as generally, they will ask you give up your right to bring any claims against them. To ensure you fully understand the effects of the agreement, review it with an attorney before agreeing to the terms. #wrongfultermination #employmentlaw #losangeles #employmentlawyer #employmentattorney #discrimination #harassment #sexualharassment #retaliation #lawyer #job #metoo #pregnancy #race #gender #womenempowerment #termination #law #legalnews #womensrights #2019 #illegal #sexdiscrimination #pregnant #breastfeeding #female #law #severanceagreement

Sadly, despite the number of laws protecting the rights of pregnant employees, many women still fear disclosing to their employers that they are pregnant. Did you know your employer has an obligation to reasonably accommodate your medical needs related to pregnancy? This may include allowing you to take pregnancy disability leave in addition to 12 weeks of CFRA leave. If you are terminated or treated unfairly as a result of your pregnancy, call us to see how we can help. #wr...ongfultermination #employmentlaw #losangeles #employmentlawyer #employmentattorney #discrimination #harassment #sexualharassment #retaliation #lawyer #job #metoo #pregnancy #race #gender #womenempowerment #termination #law #legalnews #womensrights #2019 #illegal #sexdiscrimination #pregnant #breastfeeding #female #law #californiaemployment #employmentlawyer #employmentattorney See more

Even though most California employees are at will, employers are still prohibited from terminating employees for unlawful reasons, such as because of their race, gender, age, disability, pregnancy, etc. #wrongfultermination #employmentlaw #losangeles #employmentlawyer #employmentattorney #discrimination #harassment #sexualharassment #retaliation #lawyer #job #metoo #pregnancy #race #gender #womenempowerment #termination #law #legalnews #losangeleslawyer
