UHRA's Light Up started on Coronet in 1952 when some families decided to create a parkway display which turned into a competition between streets and then a whole decorating competition in the neighborhood. Be sure to see this house on Upper Coronet where our tradition began.

Sadly, Upper Tropical doesn't have much to see, but it's worth the drive to see Jack Skellington waving from Christmastown.
Did you see the full moon tonight? It's a blue moon, too. It has been 19 years since the last full moon on Halloween.
One more sunset photo with the holiday song lyrics parkway displays on Cartwright.
Here’s a scary pair enjoying the warm fall weather in the Ranch. Happy Halloween!
Tonight's sunset was so beautiful. It wanted to compete with our lights. Those tiny dots of lights on the left in the distance are tall buildings in downtown L.A. How lucky we are to have such a view with our twinkling lights in the foreground!
Spotted a new parkway display! Yay, Rexford! We believe in Santa and holiday magic, too. Make sure to look for this display and more when you visit. Let us know which ones you like.
Van Halen used to perform in Hamilton Park in our neighborhood! https://www.nbclosangeles.com//pasadena-looks-to-/2449488/

In Case You Missed It: District 2 PUSD School Board Candidate Forum Hosted by Don Benito's PTA on September 16, 2020 You can listen to the replay at your leisure here: https://www.facebook.com/134495149923921/posts/4531359873570738/?vh=e&d=n
September Association Meeting & PUSD School Board Candidate Forum Wednesday, September 16 6:30 PM Please join the Don Benito PTA on Wednesday, September 16th for our Association Meeting featuring a virtual School Board Candidate Forum for District 2's PUSD Board of Education seat!... Get to know your candidates - Mike Crowley, Wayne Hammack, and Jennifer Hall Lee - during a moderated Q&A which will focus on issues and concerns of the electorate. As the last year has shown us - through the trials of school closures and tribulations of the pandemic - the representatives who make recommendations and decisions on our behalf are integral to the day-to-day student life of our children. We hope you will join us to get a better sense of each candidate and their proposed policies before voting on November 3rd! If you would like access to the Zoom link, please contact [email protected] for more information.
We are grateful for our firefighters! Sierra Madre Bobcat Fire update for the morning of September 15, 2020. All of the hard work yesterday putting in control and contingency lines paid off. This included bulldozer lines, hand crew lines, fire retardant drops, and firing operations. The fire laid down in our area last night and did not progress towards the city.... Today’s goal is to continue to tie the control line together. That will involve completing bulldozer lines, hand lines, and firing out. You may see bulldozers creating fire breaks on the face of the mountain. Additionally, you will see smoke and possibly flames in Santa Anita canyon and in front of and behind the ridges. The planned firing out will remove fuel from in front of the fire. We will continue to have engines coming in and out of our Sierra Madre canyons and additional work being done to help fortify the fire defenses. We want to thank the residents for their continued understanding, cooperation, and support of these efforts. Things are looking better today for us than yesterday, and better than the day before. However, we need to remain vigilant as we will continue to battle this fire for some time.
