UCR Business's award winning Hylander Student Investment Fund excelled this year despite the market's pandemic-related influctuations. At the beginning of the fourth quarter, the fund outperformed the market portfolio in the technology, consumer discretionary and healthcare sectors. Sindy Fabrizio, first year Master of Finance student and student investor with the fund comments on the fund's growth and value investment strategy, with a focus on fundamental quality research to back long-term growth. http://ow.ly/GfiK50F5SpS

Congratulations to the UCR Business team for successful completion of the International Collegiate Business Strategy Competition (ICBSC) competition, an intensive three-day competition requiring presentation of financial reports and strategic plans. Beverly Bailey, current UCR Foundation trustee and chair for the School of Business Dean's Advisory Council, is a distinguished leader at UCR Business and a generous donor to both the school and to the Riverside community. Bailey has a long history of entrepreneurship and in building a 185-employee company that has completed more than $2.5 billion in construction projects. Many changes toward increasing diversity on executive boards have been made these past years, including the increase of women leadership on corporate boards. There is a shift in hitting near-zero numbers of all-male boards among S&P 500 companies, and new policies on diversity continue to increase these numbers. http://ow.ly/meAt50Do7u6
