Richard and I are so proud of our children, Rick and Stacie for being two of the recipients of an IMAGEN AWARD, awarding the most powerful and influential Latinos in the television and film industry. They are also amazing parents with amazing well mannered children. Stacie wasn’t able to attend as she was on a business trip. Richard and I are so blessed, both of our children surpassed any of our dreams that we had! Thank you God!!! #Thankful @ City Club LA

We had such a nice afternoon yesterday. Stacie is getting so good at playing the guitar! Both of my grandsons were singing to songs that she was playing. I think I was smiling and laughing the entire afternoon! In the morning Richard entered his 56 Chevy in the La Cañada Car show. Stacie, Sam and Stella were with him the entire time! #granddaughterslovetheirgrandpas @ La Canada Flintridge, California

CAI, a nonprofit created in 1973 to educate and represent America’s residential community association industry, is posting a daily positive personal experience ...about living in or working for a community association (HOA). Read about Marcia Coppola’s Community Connection: "Having worked in the community association industry over the years, I have been exposed to different types of employers and have met people from all walks of life. I feel fortunate today that I work with such an amazing and impactful group of people and am glad to say that I consider many of them part of the family. My real family, husband (Drew) and brother (Josh), actually work in the industry as well. My family and colleagues have supported and encouraged my growth. They have seen me at my worst and are still there to see me at my best. My co-workers, or friends rather, were there to be a part of some major milestones in my life. This industry has blessed me." Marcia Coppola, CMCA, AMS Regional Director of Greater Los Angeles Senior Community Manager

Neda Nehouray https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J0mes9oBXu4 We are #CAIGLAC strong! I am so proud to be president of our dynamic organization this year and be working alongside our amazing, talented, dedicated, hard-working and fearless members. ... Yesterday we held our first luncheon of the year, where we talked about taking charge of our industry's story, telling and sharing our stories, and starting a MOVEMENT. Together, we CAN make this happen. As Board Members, community association managers, and business partners working with homeowners associations, we wear 100 different hats. We are certified managers, legal experts, psychologists, communication specialists, crisis managers, friends, shoulders to cry on, and so much more. Yet the good work we do is often overshadowed by disgruntled residents or a breaking" news story that paints our industry as overbearing or heavy-handed.This perception MUST change and it WILL change by coming together and shifting the narrative. I am so honored to stand among the 1,000+ members of professionals who truly care about what they do and who put their heart and soul into improving the quality of lives for thousands of individuals living in homeowners association communities working around the clock and sacrificing their personal lives. Because of the dedication and the tireless efforts of our members, we do touch lives, we do make positive differences all around us. And this is the story we MUST tell. I wanted to also take a moment to thank some truly amazing leaders, past, present and future. Joanne Peña, thank you for your past and current leadership. You embody leading with grace. Greg Borzilleri, thank you for setting up your vision, making it fun along the way, and for your amazing guidance. Joan Urbaniak Cai-glac and Andrea Nadal, thank you for diligence. When I think about people working around the clock and people who dedicate time from their personal lives, you two are right at the top of that list. Without you, we would be nowhere. Sascha Macias, I am so excited to see you in action as our chapter President next year. A big thank you to the 2018 and 2019 Board of Directors and Committee Members. You all are AMAZING for your volunteerism and dedication! I look forward to a productive and industry-changing year.
