For #AAPIHeritageMonth we recognize Chief Tony Lee, a second-generation Korean American who is the first Asian American chief in UCLA PD's history. We appreciate his leadership and commitment to working with the community to make UCLA a safer campus.

This November, UCLA PD raised $1,110 for the Movember Charity which will help fund men’s health research, and treatments for prostate and testicular cancer. Swipe to see before and after transformations of our officers who participated in No Shave November to raise awareness for men’s health!

On September 11th 2020, Governor Newsom signed AB1945, which classifies California public safety dispatchers as first responders. Our dispatchers undergo extensive training and work tireless hours to keep our officers, EMTs, firefighters and community safe. This bill is the recognition and respect dispatchers deserve. #publicsafety #ucla #firstresponders #dispatch #911

FRAUD ALERT: An unknown suspect has been calling UCLA students claiming to be a UCLA police officer and demanding money. UCPD does not call anyone asking for money. Do not send money to any law enforcement or government agencies via wire transfer or gift cards. Agencies and departments will not ask you for money over the phone.

Last week your night watch officers arrested two individuals for burglary, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools and felons in possession of firearms and ammunition. The suspects matched the description of burglary suspects that had been captured on surveillance footage the week prior. UCPD recovered over 140 items of stolen mail and other property, as well as two firearms that were previously reported stolen to LAPD, and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. Well done officers and thank you for keeping our community safe. @ UCLA
