Learn more about Ready, Set, PrEP! "Ready, Set, PrEP is a new nationwide program led by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). The Ready, Set, PrEP program provides pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medications at no cost to thousands of individuals who qualify. The program will expand access to PrEP medications, reduce new HIV infections, and bring us one step closer to ending the HIV epidemic in the United States."

Happy #LatinxHIVAwarenessDay! "The Disproportionate Burden of HIV HIV continues to be a serious threat to the health of Latinx communities. In 2016, Latinx accounted for 47% of new HIV diagnoses in Los Angeles County. Nationally, Latino gay and bisexual men aged 13 to 24 saw a 19% increase in new HIV diagnoses. Those numbers are startling. However, the CDC estimates that 1 in 6 Latinx individuals living with HIV are unaware they have it. People who do not know they have HIV c...annot take advantage of HIV care and treatment and may unknowingly pass HIV to others. We’re a Safe Space Stigma, fear, discrimination, and homophobia may impact the lives of some Latinx youth and these pressures may put some at higher risk for HIV infection. APLA Health offers programs that provide a safe space for Latinx youth, not just to be themselves but also to receive HIV testing, PrEP/PEP, and sexual health education. We need your support to broaden these programs and reduce the rate of new HIV diagnoses for Latinx." - APLA Health Registration is still open, join the UCLA CARE Center team this Sunday! See you at AIDS Walk!
