If the determined cause of erectile dysfunction is an underlying health issue, treatment is typically focused on addressing such issues first. Some men see positive results from relatively simple remedies, such as changing medications or participating in couple’s therapy to work out relationship issues that may be causing high stress levels. Sildenafil (Viagra) and tadalafil (Cialis) are among the most common medications used to treat ED. Such drugs work by relaxing muscles w...ithin the penis to increase blood flow and circulation. Men may also benefit from non-surgical treatment options that include: - Vigorous aerobic activity - Testosterone replacement therapy, if low testosterone levels are part of the problem - Self-injections to trigger an erection when desired - Vacuum erection device - Intraurethral suppository (MUSE) - Losing weight to help with underlying health issues and circulation problems If you are curious about non-surgical treatments for erectile dysfunction, contact us today.

The risks of ED increases closely with age. For example, a recent study placed the prevalence of ED around 40% of men at 40 years old and 70% at 70 years old. Rates continue to rise in recent years. The complications of ED can cause anxiety, stress, relationship problems, low self-esteem, and embarrassment. With these psychological factors, performance issues can get even worse. Penile implants are a long-term, high-success, cost-effective option for managing ED. And with dif...ferent types of implants, you and your doctor can figure out the most convenient option for you. A vasectomy reversal is, as its name implies, a complete reversal of a vasectomy. It is a minor surgical procedure that involves connecting the vas deferens that carries sperm to a man’s testicles. It is performed as an outpatient procedure and is relatively painless. A vasectomy reversal has a success rate of anywhere between 40 to 90 percent. The success factor depends primarily on the age and overall health of the man undergoing the procedure. To learn more, contact us today.

Once the underlying causes are identified, doctors can recommend the best remedy for low testosterone. Minimal hormonal fluctuations are to be expected as a man ages. However, when he experiences a significant decrease in testosterone, he may notice that important aspects of his health suffer. Low testosterone can disrupt a man’s normal life and make him less confident about himself and his sexual function.
