Since June 19, 1865, Americans have observed and celebrated Juneteenth as Emancipation Day, a day of freedom. In 1980, Texas began marking Juneteenth as an official state holiday, the first state to do so. Yesterday @POTUS signed the Juneteenth National Independence Day Act, establishing June 19th as a federal holiday; the first new federal holiday since 1983. Juneteenth becomes the 11th federal holiday, joining: New Year’s day, Birthday of Martin Luther King Jr., George W...ashington’s birthday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving day and Christmas day. Another good reason to Celebrate in June!

We are celebrating our 99th anniversary this week, which means we are even closer to reaching a historical 100th anniversary! Did you know that less than one half of one percent of U.S. companies reach a century? During Founder’s Week, not only do we mark the anniversary of our remarkable company, but we also celebrate all of our accomplishments past, present, and future. From our first policy written in 1922, to our most recent milestones, to our ability to evolve during a global pandemic, to the many ways we support our local communities we have so much to be proud of.
