JULY 4TH, 2021 ANNOUNCEMENT After much deliberation the Twain Harte Area Chamber of Commerce and it’s Events Committee has made the decision that this year’s Fourth of July Parade will be cancelled. We look forward to planning and making the event next year far greater than anything we could have put together this year with the limited time we have. Here are the reasons why we have chosen to take this stance at this time:... Covid-19 uncertainty has limited our ability to plan for this event effectively Logistically we just do not have the manpower to pull off a hurried event Due to the Fourth of July landing on a Sunday this year, it would be going against what the mission of our Chamber is. This would disrupt our town more than it would be helping bring people to our community and businesses. We are looking into other possible activities, and we are always open to suggestions and volunteers to help with future events.

It's going to be HOT, HOT, HOT this week!! As an owner of a pet, you're responsible for their well-being, and keeping them cool. Dogs are especially sensitive t...o high temperatures, and can get heat stroke very easily. Heat stoke in dogs has a high fatality rate. During excessive heat, we recommend keeping your pets inside (if possible). Set the thermostat to 78 or lower while gone. Allow fresh water access, and close curtains to keep your house cool. For outdoor pets, always provide shade, fresh water, and access to air flow. Misters and kiddie pools work great as a cooling source. Livestock should also have access to fresh water, shade, and exercise should be done before 7am. As always, NEVER LEAVE YOUR PET IN A VEHICLE. #heatwave #heatsroke #petsafety #californiaweather
