TWI/DLD Sparks group DorlionKivilcimlari from Eskisehir Turkey partnered with Association of Turkish Americans of Southern California (ATASC) chapter Orange County Turkish American Association - OCTAA school Orange County Turkish School (OCTS) students for a wonderful online event! Sparks older sisters led our students in Southern CA in a DIY exercise to turn recyclable materials into pencil holders... raised awareness for recycling and climate change in our children while bu...ilding corsscultural bridges and ATASC chapter coordination. Well Done Dorloin Sparks and OCTS volunteers and students! The event was on zoom and rumor has it - some of our OCTS students kicked their parents out of the room because they wanted to complete the exercise by themselves Thank you all who made this possible. What can you change for a better world? That was the theme of our book launch in CA. We told stories of our Sparks, introduced our book and lit candles sparks of new hopes and dreams. Transformational stories of young women who dream of a better world, served as our guide. This is the start of our book tour in CA. We will be in San Diego on March 16 and Bay Area on March 22.
